so I just wanted to drop by and say that I really admire your writing skills!! you could get published and I'd do everything to get a copy of your book haha. I follow your account on instagram as well and the edits are amazing!!! so I'm sorry if this is bothersome, but I've been uploading chapters of my book for over 2 weeks now and I'm not sure about the algorithm or whatever or how authors get reads and an audience.
I was hoping if you could maybe give me a few tips on how this works, or how you know, books get reads and everything, and basically, how you've been doing this. I could really use the help right now. I've been thinking about making those silly little reels about my book on insta to get some traction but my exams are about to start, so I don't want to distract myself right now. I know they say things take time and don't chase the numbers lmaoo but yeah, I just would love for people to read my book.

omg thanks so muchhh, that was helpful!! I agree with everything. Patience is a big thing when it comes to promoting your book, especially on wattpad which is saturated with millions of stories, even more so if we're writing romance.
okayyy I'll text you when I find time. Exams are finally over so I'm hoping to resume writing my story. Idk going back to writing kinda seems daunting to me haha. but it's all part of the process and it's funn.

And thank you for following me on Instagram too, though my previous account got hacked so I’ve had to make a new one under “mishawritings” and it’s been a whole restart of a journey sadly haha.
And secondly, as a writer, I completely understand where you’re coming from. Honestly, it is really hard to find readers and hope that your book reaches an audience. I do have some tips that might help! First, it’s to make sure your book is formatted correctly, and I mean this in terms of grammar and spelling and paragraph spacing just so it’s easy for others to read. I’ll defo check your book out when I find time and give you my honest thoughts about it, if it helps! And secondly, I find posting about it on social media helpful - with this one tho, it’s really just a chance of luck because the algorithm is so random. And I totally agree, start after your exams because it takes a lot of effort and time to make edits and post consistently.

Sorry for being MIA for so long, I know most of you all are waiting for me to update and I promise you I'll update this weekend!! Good news is, my exams are finally over, so I will definitely be updating more often.
And the second thing is, if you've seen the username change, it's because my instagram got hacked, so I had to make a completely new one and decided to just change my pen name to Misha. So long, Sylvia - you are missed :(

As for my updating schedule, I’ve been writing the next chapter so it will be out in 2-3 days and I’m hoping to mark it complete by the end of this year so expect lotsss of updates in the coming weeks. It’s just that currently I’m swamped with assignments so once they’re out of the way, I’ll update so much on here!
