Ah thanks for sharing your thoughts! I didn't want them to end up together but I also didn't want it to feel like it was all a waste, like they definitely both learned something from it. So I'm glad you feel like it was the right ending for them, and that you got a sense of contentment, because that's what I was trying to do!

@ccstarfield well of course!  also tbh i’m usually not a fan of endings where they don’t end up together or end up w someone else because it always feels rly unsatisfying and random, but i actually really liked the way this book ended because it felt like the right thing for the characters at that time, and there was still a feeling of overall contentment even though it was kind of bittersweet. i genuinely love this story so much and i’m still sad it’s over, but come hell or high water is next on my list since it’s the only story of yours i haven’t read yet, so i’m looking forward to that (as well as any other stories you write in the future)!!
