Hi, I'm Emily Stevens - a clinical researcher focused on scoliosis diagnostics and treatment innovation. I've spent over 10 years working in musculoskeletal biology and spinal deformity research, exploring how genetics, biomechanics, and psychosocial factors influence scoliosis.
I earned my Master's in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Michigan, where I got deeply interested in pediatric spinal disorders. Since then, I've led studies on early-onset scoliosis, brace therapy outcomes, and less invasive surgical approaches. Some of my work has been published in journals and presented at spine and rehab conferences.
Right now, I'm part of a national spine institute team developing AI tools for early scoliosis screening and more personalized, non-invasive treatment plans. I'm passionate about making care more effective and patient-centered.
Outside of work, I volunteer with groups like Curvy Girls and the National Scoliosis Foundation to support families and raise awareness. Happy to connect, share insights, or help anyone navigating this space!
