Sina Bari MD is a Stanford-trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has significantly contributed to medical device innovation and the development of Medical Artificial Intelligence. His early interest in technology began after his father died when he was eight. During that time, he translated his mother's computer science textbooks into English, which helped him learn computer programming. By high school, he had advanced skills in UNIX networking and developed biological simulation software using early parallel supercomputers. These experiences fostered his technical abilities and helped fund his college and medical school education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2000 and graduated at the top of his class from medical school in 2006.

Following medical school, he was selected as one of three candidates for an accelerated residency program in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford. He completed his residency from 2006 to 2012, focusing on skin and soft tissue surgery. During this time, he participated in a Bioinnovation program, contributing to developing medical devices designed to reduce infection during peritoneal dialysis, reconnecting him with his passion for combining technology and medicine.

In January 2022, he became Senior Director of Medical Artificial Intelligence at a technology company. Before this role, he spent three years building and leading the Medical AI division from the ground up, growing it to generate over $4 million in annual recurring revenue. He manages a team of more than 500 professionals, overseeing the production of high-quality training data that supports AI applications in radiology, endoscopy, robotic surgery, drug development, and drug safety. Under his leadership, the division was ranked number one in healthcare data services by an independent market analysis firm in 2022. He has also collaborated with three top five global medical device companies to advance AI initiatives.
