this might be a long description, anyhow, coming from a place with great resentment against abuse, i have taken it upon myself to find/share non-toxic books with you guys.

a note for authors:
1. be mindful of what you write, you have a vast audience of teenagers who are in a learning stage
2. do not romanticise rape, seeing millions of views on books with plots whose gist is the MC getting raped or exploited makes me feel so scared. because apparently, that's what people want to see, a vulnerable submissive getting abused.. for some reason that's hot..?
3. there is a difference between being a submissive and a dependent liability. for fuck's sake, writing gay novels about two dudes acting like father and son is so disgusting, why does pedo-like behaviour turn you guys on?
4. when you say 'mature content' but end up posting 'smut' that just consists of the woman crying 'no', this isn't mature content. its not 18+ its simply pathetic and disgusting, not appropriate for any fucking age.
5. what the hell happened to supporting women? independent women? why do they always need a knight in shining armour?! what happen to getting rid of misogyny?!
6. gaslighting and manipulation, when done by the villain is wrong but when the same is done by the main lead?
7. some double standards y'all have, what's right for men is wrong for women? oh come on.
8. seeing 13 year old girls say 'rape foreplay is hot' in one of your comment sections makes my heart clench. be better

i hope you guys find amazing books in my reading lists, none of the books are toxic in the slightest, but if you find one that seems a little off, let me know and i'll remove them!
