Coming back inside, the ravenette's eyes followed the figure of an unfamiliar female approaching him. Had she been here all this time? He hadn't even noticed. Her question made him rise a brow, not being familiar with people approaching him with so much ease, never mind asking to play with him. And despite his fatigue, he found himself nodding, and replied with a short, "Okay. Have we met before . . ?" She seemed to know his name, but searching for a memory that wasn't there, he couldn't seem to remember her. ; this was way longer than expected -- dw about matching the length xD

today was asuka’s first day starting at karasuno , she’d arrived with her good friend shoyo from junior high school , however she lost him in the hallway on the way to the gym where he’d be signing up for the volleyball team . he probably went to the bathroom or something ..
you may think she was looking to join the girls volleyball team , however she felt as if she needed a break from the sport after a rough experience back in junior high . so she was signing up as manager for the boys team — seeing as it was obligatory to be in some sort of club .
gently pushing the door open , she took a small peek , looking from side to side to see if anyone was there when her auburn eyes met with a pair of darker ones that belonged to the so named “ osama ” . he was that guy shoyo played against ! what was his name .. kageyama or something ?
clearing her throat she walked inside , pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear . “ e - excuse me um .. kageyama - san , right ? have you seen the captain around by any chance ? i was hoping to sign up as one of the managers here .. ”

she jolted in surprise , her face heating up immensely as she rubbed her neck , averting her gaze with a nervous laugh . “ y - yes , i used to set for yukigaoka’s girls team back in junior high school , but i quit towards the end of my third year since i had a really rough experience during one of our matches , " she sighed , her gaze falling down to her feet before she looked back up at the taller setter .
“ let’s just say i needed a break to regain my confidence in my abilities as a setter . " she stated softly , a bittersweet smile on her lips .
her hands were fairly small and rather soft looking , but they were far more then they were made out to be . and she had a feeling the male had noticed that .

shifting the ball in her hands a bit , she tried to find a comfortable position where the grip felt nice and sturdy , positioning the ball just above her head as she bent the tips of her fingers just a little bit , pushing the ball right up .
' it feels , nice .. ' she thought to herself , smiling slightly when she heard a ball hit against the ground from behind her , sparking her interests as she looked away momentarily , only for the ball to hit her square in her face -
well , she hadn't expected that one .. but my gosh - she thought he was only good at setting ! he can spike too ?!
when he called out to her , she couldn't help but let her eyes widen in surprise . he wanted to set to her .. ? she never usually spiked , since she lack in the height to do so and strength .. but maybe she could try it out . she didn't want to let him down after all .
" umm .. well , i don't often spike since it's not really my position - i used to play setter , actually . but if you want to practice setting , i can try spiking for you , " she smiled , tossing her ball back into the basket as she approached him .
