wait.. they do games now? wow. i think i have spent too much time focusing on my jobs that i didn’t pay close attention to the small changes. what kind of games do they play? oh,  that’ll be fun!  weddings are always a good time. those games the bride and groom get to play are so cute.   [ a pause and glance down. ]   i think so.  there will probably be people wearing sandals if it’s in the park,  and those are definitely better.  

you think so? i was going more for classy, but i guess hot works too. i’ve been asked to serve drinks for a wedding ceremony hosted in the park, and you know that i can never say no to weddings. nicholas and i are going while lilian and theodore work the bar. some dickhead thought it’d be a good idea to get wasted and drive. i’m so tired of other bars letting their patrons leave after they’ve served them so much. take their keys, call them a cab—- do something *other* than let them drive! i swear, some places shouldn’t even be serving people if they’re going to let this shit happen.

             ⠀⠀⠀⠀ you’re the first to try my cooking, i’m the first to try your desserts. i think that’s a pretty fair trade.    [ ring-clad fingers intertwine as she rests her forearms against his counter, her chin pressing against her shoulder as she watches him move around his kitchen. this is the first time she’s ever seen ben look so.. well, she didn’t even know how to describe him. he’s always been calm with her, a very sweet man who never let his work stress bleed into his time with her, but this was something different. her eyes drift to the container when he takes it out, her eyebrows raising slightly as she leans a bit closer. ]    i don’t think i’ve ever seen vanilla wafers on a dessert, but i’m familiar with the crunchy-creamy combo.    [ she takes the spoon from him, and slips the dessert in her mouth. it tastes quite delicious, actually. ]    oh, that’s something delightful—- no wonder she made it every month.

i made a dessert and i want you to be the first to try it.    [ ben turns to his fridge,  retrieving a glass container.  in it is a banana pudding—-  a familial recipe. ]    i haven’t told the pack about it because they would’ve eaten it all by now.   [ a small smile to himself.  he grabs a spoon from the drawer and removes the lid from the container. ]    my mom used to make this at least once a month when i was younger.  she said it’s all she craved when she was pregnant with me.  i like carrying on her tradition.   [ he scoops a good amount of the dessert on the spoon for her before offering it to her. ]   here—-
