I write nonfiction for a living now, so I'm taking a break from my long-ago fiction-and-poetry-writing past to enjoy reading others' works and supporting new authors. I mostly focus on apocadystopian novels as metaphors for teens coming-of-age. (Isn't fear of a totalitarian government just resentment at our parents? Isn't exploring desolation, avoiding zombies and searching for community what we all do when leaving school for new independence and employment?). I give bonus points/votes/comments for non-romantic relationship development, wit and feminism.
