I go two years with having a boyfriend then poof, no boyfriend. Crazy our 3 years would be in May:/ still have a lot of love for him and wish him nothing but the best! If we are meant to be then we will be.

so my ex and I showed up to the same party and we’ll… we had a long heart to heart. In which he admitted he was still in love with me and only moved on to get over me. He also admitted he was going to propose on our three year which was going to come up this upcoming May. He showed me the ring and it was absolutely gorgeous, he asked if he’d want him to return it and give the money to me or keep it in hopes we’ll find our way back to each other. I told him that as long as he’s in a relationship with someone else to return it but to keep the money for himself. I absolutely love and adore him, but at the end of the night he was kissing someone who wasn’t me.

So me and my ex met up today to exchange the last of our things. He gave me a box of letters he had written me and he said when we was going to propose he was going to give them to me to read. Letters over the span of 2 years. We talked a bit and at the end he tried to kiss me… I pushed him away as I saw him leaning in because I knew if I gave in it would just ruin all the progress I had made. I love him deeply and always will, but for the reasons we broke up I can’t see him being in my life romantically again.

So it’s official, my ex is now starting to see someone exclusively. It’s barley been 2 months since we’ve broken up. 2 years gone down the drain like that. I’ve gone on a date since hun but I’m not ready to jump into a new relationship.

@s3ren1tyfm yeah that must be hard. you're friends shouldn't constantly remind u of him, but telling them not to would just make it worse. you'll find someone soon, things always happen for a reason.

@CorpseElmo it’s like all our friends are telling me what he’s doing because they don’t necessarily agree with how he’s going about it. But they say he genuinely seems happy and that they’re actually moving kinda fast, like she’s literally at his place 5 days out of the week. I wasn’t even over there that much. I think the fact we had two different lives was a bit harder when being in the same state again. When he was in university in california it was a bit easier because the slight time difference and we got to plan ahead to see each other. It was a multitude of factors that made us separate. I’m just glad I had the time I had with him, just thought it was gonna be forever.

@FIFTYSONH it just hurts to see how fast he is actually moved on. Me and him we’re talking about getting married and even started looking at engagement rings. We’re both in are early 20’s which I don’t know if deep down that’s what scared him off. But he knew from the beginning I’m dating to find my lifetime partner. I know I’ll be okay and I’ll meet the right one when the time is proper but I’m just still grieving. Never going to lower my standards because I know what I want, need and deserve.
