            i  think  you'd  look  great  either  way,   but  this  length  is  totally  optimal  for  braiding.    {  bella's  laughter  brings  ellie's  own  pouring  from  her  lips,  rocking  back  to  sit  on  her  knees.   there's  no  sleepover  activity  she  enjoys  more  than  playing  hairdresser.   }    of  course!    i  love  having  my  hair  braided.   it's  kinda  short  though,   so  they  might  have  to  be  super  little.

            {  there's  a  brief  pause  before  ellie-marie  shifts  forward,   grabbing  her  phone  to  stop  the  song.   it's  in  the  complete  silence  that  she  clears  her  throat,  sorting  out  her  words  before  starting.  }    it's  sentimental.    there's  something  about  it  that's  relaxing  despite  how  sad  everything  is,   and  it's  kinda  nostalgic  for  a  time  that  was  dreamed  up.   you  feel  that  way,   too.    dreamy  and  like,   almost  wistfully  nostalgic.
            
            *   i  had  to  ++   ellie  not  realizing  how  easy  it  is  to  fall  in  love  with  someone  who  calls  you   "dreamy  and  wistfully  nostalgic".    girlie  you  can't  just  say  that !!

[  her bottom lip quivers while she stammers out her apologies. her chest heaves with uneven breaths as she slicks red strands away from her forehead. she turns from ellie's arms, unable to look at the girl who she could save. but she doesn't. she can't. ]    maybe i should—-  go. i dunno. these..  they don't happen a lot. i'm fine, i just need a second.

            i  don't  want  anything  to  happen.   i'm  trying  to  make  sure  nothing  happens  to  me,   but  if  it  does...    {  with  these  words  ellie-marie  seems  to  lose  some  of  her  half-joking  energy,  snagging  her  lower  lip  between  her  teeth  before  her  hands  move  to  fiddle  with  the  ends  of  her  sleeves.   }    i  have  a  will  ready.   just  in  case  something  does,   and  since  i  know  i  can  trust  you  and  tara  with  my  little  guy,   i  think  you  guys  deserve  him.             you're  never  a  bother.   {  despite  the  redhead's  rush  to  dismiss  the  offer  ellie-marie  maintains  a  gentle  demeanour,   expression  softening  at  the  confession.  }     i  care.    i'm  sure,   too-  my  parents  taught  me  how  to  stitch  up  wounds  when  i  was  a  kid.   i  can  do  it  for  free  and  without  risk  of  catching,   like,   sepsis.   only  if  you're  comfortable.

            quinn  ?    oh, we're, uhm. we're cousins.  [  it was the backup plan to fall onto if anyone happened to noticed the similarities shared between bella kinley and quinn bailey. they tried to keep a distance, or at least,, quinn did. but of course sam was observant, and suspicious enough to query it. ]    on our moms' side. it's where the red hair comes from.
