I would like to add that there is no way Cambodia(a country with weaker artillery, less soldiers, has less power than Thailand, less develop and has less economic power)would ever start this conflict when, both the civilians and government, have continuously requested for the matter to resolved peacefully multiple times. Meanwhile Thailand have not only rejected said request but also said they do not trust the ICJ, furthermore THEY SAID THEY WANT PEACE (atp I'm so done). I highly doubt this post is going to reach anyone but i want to try anyway. on may 28 of 2025 at the border of Cambodia and Thailand, two soldiers of either sides fought with the use of guns resulting in the death of said Cambodian soldier. Due to this the prime minister of Cambodia requested for the matter to be resolved at the ICJ(international court of justice) however Thailand refused and closed it's borders, suspended trade and use economic leverage to cut off oil, electricity and internet access. Fast forward to 23 of july a thai soldier stepped on a landmine from a previous conflict(as some sources said but some other sources also said that thailand was the one who planted it meanwhile there are some that says Cambodia planted it), the soldier unfortunately lost his leg. The next day thailand launch an assault on cambodian forces, they have not only used air strikes and artillery on a centuries old temple(Preah Vihear) but also invaded Cambodia, these action lead to the two sides fighting and casualties on both sides, soldiers and civilians. I've also been informed that both prime ministers have been asked to cease fire by the prime minister of Malaysia and the pair have agreed however after midnight they took back the agreement and continued with this violent conflict.
