          	     karmine grew up in a completely different world to her peers.  she was one of the top three racer lineages of her planet.  every single person in her bloodline had won their races.  everyone got their wish from the aetherspark.  their path was so volatile,  so memorable and wild that it was only natural for karmine to be the same.   her racing title was after her father's, which was his father's, and his father's before that.  
          	  
          	  in her family, it would have been the first son's job to carry such a heavy title.  but karmine ended up being the sole heir to such a throne.  her mother died a few days after her birth, and her father never re-married. in his grief, he tossed the name of their legacy to his [daughter] , letting her train at far too young an age.  she grew up with disappointment looming over her like a rope waiting to grip around her neck and pull,  her  every move was weighed and judged. she could not show weakness. 
          	  
          	  in turn, karmine built herself a .. fanatic of a personality. she was loud, abrasive and overly confident in herself. her short temper and snappy attitude quickly found hateful gazes and distasteful rumours. people think she's in it for the money; in it for a selfish reason.  she didn't care for their rumours.  she was doing this for her father, so he could see his wife again and say goodbye. 
          	  
          	  [that aetherspark meant everything to her.] 
          	  
          	   she needed it. it was going to fix the rift in her family before it got too large to fix   -- -  before her father falls too far in his grief and leaves her too.   she climbed the ranks and shot up in her stardom.  she was showered in public praise and sponsorships .. but it was not enough. nothing would be enough until her father was happy again.  and if there was one thing about karmine that everyone knew.. it was that she would [always] find a way to win.
