Produce Idols is a reality television talent competition franchise based around the formation of a K-Pop girl or boy group. The format is noted having judges from the same industry (Kpop) to help train the trainees, ready for debut. It is also noted for employing audience participation to make decisions, and for starting with a small or large number of competitors, then narrowing the number down to the final 7 to 12. The franchise has been around since May 2020 and has only been in Korea so far.
