            " The point being made is it's so obvious you're crying and there's not just something in your eye . Like those types of tears don't come from irritation . You've ruined your makeup and look a mess . What's the reason ? "

            " It's nothing . Just a little burn . "  the blonde turned away , hand wrapped carefully around her wrist to conceal the wound . It really was minor , the flame grazing her skin for just a moment . An honest mistake , something she felt she could deal with herself . a

            Her head hung low like that of a guilty mutt's , Livius knowing full well she had done wrong and furthered it by lying . A girl got curious at times , could you blame her ? A home full of so much and she wasn't allowed to touch or even look at a majority of it ? Yeah , it'd drive you to break rules too . 
            
            " Nothing , I wasn't doing anything . "  deeper into the already dug hole , the blonde still being dishonest about her actions . Pointless when there was practically a sign with bright red letters spelling out 'guilty' with an arrow pointing right at her . Eyes averted to the floor as he stared at her , hands clasping together at her front , subconsciously closing herself off . 

⠀⠀⠀    “always lying straight through your teeth. when will you finally learn to do a better job?” he muttered, not bothering to glance at her right away. his voice carried low through the quiet hush of the library, where the scent of old paper clung to the air and dust floated in the slanted light pouring through the windows. he stood between two tall shelves, fingertips grazing the cracked spines of books he wasn’t really reading, until he stopped and turned just enough to throw her a look over his shoulder, one brow slightly raised. something flickered in his chest when his gaze lingered on her longer than he meant it to, something sharp and unwelcome, a pulse of interest that settled in the silence between them.             “what were you looking for?” he asked, voice steady, laced with a kind of idle curiosity that didn’t quite match the way his eyes held on to her.

            " What ? "  she sounded defensive the moment she opened her mouth , immediately turning her attention towards the man who questioned her .  " I don't know what you're talking about ... "  she was a bad liar as is , getting too flustered for such a simple statement . And for him ? She got nervous on a level that was anything but normal for any innocent person .

            She looked to the guitar case and then back at the space next to her . Maybe his spatial perception wasn't very good . Or something of that sorts because really she wasn't taking up any room at all .  " And if I don't ? "  her tone was teasing now , curious to see how much of a reaction she could get from him . 

"yeah,  well,"  he'd  gesture  to  the   guitar  case  he was  carrying  as  though  that  explained  why  he  needed   extra  room  to  walk  past  her.   "you  are.  so,  move?"

            The blonde looked up towards the voice addressing her , her gaze then turning beside her and all the room there was to walk right past .  " I'm sorry , I didn't think I was taking up that much room . "  her voice was soft and sweet , but deep underneath you could hear the false kindness .
