writing related q (for once): I, like most people, think in prose rather than verse but some of my thoughts I feel like would make for good poems. usually when I sit down to write poetry, that's precisely it - I do it with purpose and immediately put down my thoughts in verse. I wanted to ask if anyone has any advice on making poems from what I've written in prose beforehand (for example stuff I've journaled)? because for me it's strangely more difficult to rewrite/transform than write in the first place

i rlly cant guarantee any of this is remotely helpful since everyone's writing process can be v unique/different but!! a couple things to maybe try: going through and writing out the general points or messages you're communicating, finding any phrases or words that would work well in verse, trying to get a clear visual or emotional image of what the like. core of the prose is since a lot of poetry is based around that kind of stuff :]
