            ⠀⠀ The  man  couldn't  comprehend  why  those  words  from  Megumi  caused  such  anguish  in  his  chest.   In  that  moment,   his  eyes  briefly  softened,   but  it  wasn't  a  joyous  softness.   Rather,   it  was  the  kind  of  softness  that  comes  when  someone  felt  some  sort  of  betrayal.   However,   it  quickly  faded,   and  his  eyes  returned  to  their  usual  calm  state.
