Okay so—tiny life update before my brain fully melts 
          
          Based on the poll I dropped when I wrote The Split Mirror with one of my besties (thank you to the 14 brave souls who voted ), the most popular choice—at 36%—was a short story. And since I am officially tired of staring at the poll like it’s going to magically change… a short story it is.
          
          BUT.
          
          Here’s where I need you.
          What in the world should the genre be?? Fantasy? Angst? Soft spooky? Cozy chaos? Something dramatic that hurts a little but in a fun way? My brain is doing that dial-up noise and I genuinely want to write something you’d actually enjoy reading.
