To Put On An Act has reached 5000 Views!!! Thank you so so SO SO MUCH oh my god! Just two weeks ago I was thanking everyone for the 4k and now here we are already... This is insane, I'm so so thankful for everyone who's been reading TPOAA ;v; The fact that there's so many reads already when the story isn't even completed yet makes me so so happy <//3
On another note, it's Friday, but I don't believe I can make post today. The chapter may come tonight or tomorrow though, and after that I'll take a small break for one or two weeks from posting in order to focus on the last couple of chapters and prepare my next project. would it be cringe to have a chapter in tpoaa dedicated to "fan" art/work/graphics? ive gotten some very lovely stuff from friends (and family) that i'd like to show off... like putting it on the fridge for all the family to see

Question time to my fellow writers!
When you start working on a new story, how does that process look for you? How does Idea turn into Full Book? How do you plan, research, what do you do to figure out your plot, characters and setting?
Are there any specific methods or tools you use? Or do you just jump straight in?

Lol. I have been there many times. Crafting a story for me takes a lot of time and dedication. I have problems figuring out how the characters change (or not) through the story and why. That's what takes more time for me so I make notes until I have something more or less cohesive and divide it into chapters. If I got stuck I do something fun first and go back writing later.

good news: today WAS in fact a writing day, a pretty decent one actually! though i've only managed to write around 2k words, i did leave off at a good part for me to pick up again and remain somewhat productive tomorrow!
kind of less good news: i still havent gotten to finish the chapter, and i'm not sure i can do it in time for the friday post. if we are lucky, i can delay the update to saturday (or potentially sunday?), otherwise i'll have to skip this week completely. it might be a good idea to have a whole more week to finish it as well as to start working on a small backlog, but also i'm impatient and really excited for the next chapters....
i did originally anticipate this chapter to be fairly long but looking at it now it might just barely breach the 5k mark? i'm definitely able to write more than 3k words in a day so a saturday release is realistic but i suppose it also depends on my mood/the weather/my health/etc. we shall see! i'll keep everyone updated!

Deciding that tomorrow will be a big writing day. For real. Like really. I'm gonna get stuff DONE, and a LOT of it, I want to try finish that chapter. I'm writing jesus. (< lying, insecure statement, empty promise)
