Oh, you know Freyr? And my daughter in law. Of course you know her. Daisy Johnson is something of a household name these days. But no, so far you seem to be on the right track.

I know a lot of things, but you're going to need to be more specific. And really? A god? That's a little far-fetched, don't you think?

            * was it worth mentioning he was getting little glimmers of her thought process? probably not. she'd probably call him insane or worse. it wasn't as if he was walking around with a neon sign attached to him pointing out he was in fact a Nordic God. and as far as he was aware, very few people remembered him. no... that just wouldn't do. perhaps there was another subtle way he could indicate to her that her 'secret' had no bearing on him * Oh no, it shall be all fine. * as if on cue, he found himself glancing down at his wrist, though there was no watch on it * Say, it appears I'm late already for a meeting. I guess I'd better go.

[ she blinked a few times at his words, confusion crossing her features for a moment. was that him saying that it was okay for her to stay? gods above, what was she supposed to do? ] how long are you planning on staying? [ she wondered if she could get away with noting when the barrier beneath the water would open and keep him from looking. what the hell was she going to do? this place was supposed to be a secret, she couldn’t let anyone see it— him included. ] or, better question.. would you like some company?

            * yeah, he was probably the most stubborn man around (his ex wife would vouch for that one) and he was well aware of that fact, but he was also a reasonable one when it came to it. he hadn't been to this beach in a while, but clearly, this girl had moved in and made herself comfortable. and it was probably better it had been him that she had run into and not Ran * Oh, don't worry about it. I'm sure the shells can wait. I'll just head back instead. It's a nice day for a swim as well.
