            the batmobile?   * a quiet chuckle slipped past her lips *   it’s. .unique ? personally , i find it to be a bit clunky. .but everyone has their own taste .   * she stopped at the driver side’s door of the laferrari , using her index finger to pop the door open . she waited for it to raise completely before she got in . *

            yeah ..  ‘ amazing ’ .   *  he  sighed  ,   trying  to  focus  on  something  outside  .   with  the  car  moving  so  fast  ,   the  buildings  that  blurred  into  trees  were  too  hard  to  pick  out  one  by  one  *  
            
            
            *  he  was  distracted  by  the  promise  of  quiet  .   the  promise  of  maybe  one  minute  of  sleep  .   so  he  nodded  with  a  hum  *   ..  that’d  be  nice  .   thanks  .   *  he  briefly  looked  over   at  the  driver  and  gave  a  small  smile  *

            * the blonde’s eyebrows furrowed 
            as she listened to his story, perplexed by his dilemma. she didn’t know how to react at first, whether to joke about it or to be serious. with a quick side-glance she knew better than to joke about it, as he seemed uncomfortable enough. she drew in a slow breath, tapping her index finger against the black leather wheel . * another realm? that sounds. .scarily amazing. 
            
            * she paused before she spoke again, trying to find the right words * i’m not one to make promises, but. .i promise you i have absolutely no intentions of harming you in any way. if you’d like, i can take you to a location where i usually go for retreats? it’s very secluded and quiet. it’s up on a mountain, you can’t get access to it unless you have a coded chip. .so it should be safe for you? 

*  again  and  again  ,   the  insomniac’s  eyes  closed  for  a  few  brief  moments  before  snapping  open  again  .   he  managed  to  let  out  a  laugh  at  the  thought  of  going  two  hundred  .   he’d  probably  have  a  heart  attack  if  he  ever  went  any  faster  then  one  hundred  *   cool  ..  *  his  voice  was  quiet  as  he  continued  to  stare  at  the  road  beside  the  window  .   it  was  nice  to  be  going  somewhere  again  *  
            
            oh  .   right  .   *  he  was  pulled  from  his  thoughts  by  the  promise  of  the  story  .   it  took  him  a  couple  seconds  to  gather  what  had  happened  ,   but  he  managed  with  what  he  remembered  *   there  were  a  lot  of  us  .   we  were  all  pulled  into  this  weird  ..  realm  .   there  was  this  thing  that  ..   wanted  ‘  sacrifices ‘  a - and  these  killers  that  some  of  us  already  had  to  deal  with  in  our  daily  lives  .   they  just  ..   killed  us  .  over  and  over  again  .   we  couldn’t  ...   *  it  was  clear  that  this  was  something  that  he  didn’t  like  talking  about  ,   but  he  pushed  himself  to  speak  *   i - i  don’t  know  what  happened  but  ..   i  think  i’m  free  ?   maybe  this  all  just  some  sick  joke  ..
