"Watch as your dreams fade into nothingness," she told him, a dull look in her eyes as her lips slowly pressed into a thin line, "only then will you know what true pain is."
"You obviously know nothing of pain then," he answered with a slight scoff, averting his saddened gaze.
"Nothing, you say?" she questioned, the slightest bit of emotion peeking through her words.
"True pain is when you realize that there's nothing worth dreaming about," he explained, slowly allowing a sick grin to appear over his soft features.
