of course, if any god we're to navigate their way through this place, it would be the one faster than light. but the visit was met with glimmer and open arms. he was met with concern. a hermit's worst fear was an uninvited guest. especially since this place was created to be hidden. even from the gods.
" h-hermes? how did you ... have the others found this place too? please ... I did nothing wrong. "
; cb + specify !! he needs love
N. GRAYSON :
i.. brought you something, hermes.
* he stiffens instantly at the hug, caught off guard, shoulders going rigid as a faint flush creeps up his neck. * don’t– * he starts, but it falls flat, lacking any real force as he awkwardly shifts, hands hovering before settling, hesitant, against hermes’ shoulders, * …it’s not a big deal, * he mutters, voice low and uneven, clearly trying to downplay it. a brief pause follows, * i just had time, * he adds quickly, a little too quick, like he’s covering something up, jaw tightening, * it’s really not a big deal.
@OMNI1M4N !! { despite his interrealm travels , he doubts he has ever had something called a cobbler . so to say he was elated was an understatement , his eyes turn bright as a wide smile lifts on his expression } nolan ! { he laughs , the familiar ' ohohohoho ' sound emerging from his throat as he moves the cobbler to the side and swung his arms around the viltrumite } i can't believe it ! you've made me something !
* he hesitates for a split second at the reaction, gaze flicking briefly away before settling back on him. * …it’s nothing, * he mutters, voice low and a little more guarded than usual, though there’s a faint awkwardness to it. a brief pause follows, his hand lingering a second too long before he finally lets go of the container. * …i made it. it’s a cobbler. * he adds after a beat, quieter now. his jaw tightens slightly, eyes shifting off to the side again. * don’t make a big deal out of it.
Poseidon exhaled slowly, as though bracing for something familiar and unwelcome. Hermes’ presence always carried motion — and motion always meant disruption.
“You never learned when to leave well enough alone,” he remarks the waves curl inward, not aggressive — expectant.
“So tell me,” Poseidon says, turning fully now, “what have you disturbed this time?”
@AncientCurrent- ;; " Well , I'm here with a decree from your brother " that brother being the lightning god himself , zeus . as his personal messenger , he had to meddle in even the personal matters of the god , including his fights with Hera on his infidelity and other things related to such " you have missed around three meetings at olympus , and he demands you attend the one tonight or there will be severe punishment "
⠀ ⠀ you’re going to fast — slow down and speak properly !
@wildhunts !! olympus , under attack ! the humans have built something , i don't understand how but they built something akin to a Titan !
The rooftop was too quiet in that way only mortal cities managed to be — like everything below was screaming and somehow pretending it wasn’t. Callista stood near the edge, wind tugging gently at her hair, sunlight catching in uneven flashes along her skin like it couldn’t decide whether to stay or leave. She didn’t turn when she felt him arrive. She never really did anymore.
“If you’re here to convince me to go back,” Callista said calmly, her voice carrying just enough to cut through the breeze, “you might want to save your breath.”
A pause — soft, controlled, but tired in a way she didn’t bother hiding “I’m not in the mood to argue with Olympus today.”
Only then did she glance over her shoulder, just slightly, as if even that much attention cost her something. Her expression wasn’t angry. It never was with him. That was the problem. It was worse. Familiar. Worn thin.
“They don’t get to decide when I’m useful,” she added quietly, fingers tightening around the edge of the rooftop ledge. “And they don’t get to decide when I come back.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀ i am so pleased to see that you are well! oh, and there is not even a scar? i’m impressed!
@broughtIife !! message received ! i'll make sure to let him know , though i am sure he heard that judging by the sudden thunder . i've been alright , meeting new humans and people left and right ! many gods who complain about zeus' orders , ah .. it was just like when i convinced calypso to release odysseus ... anyways ! enough about me , any fun stories on your end ?
⠀⠀⠀⠀ all i did was tell my brother know what to do, he is the one that actually saved your life. oh, you can tell zues to deliver his own messages from here on out if he’s going to be a bloody twat — oh, i hope he heard that. (..) i have been quite well, dear hermes. outside of your recent… situation, how have you been?
@broughtIife !! hehe ! of course , thanks to you and cassius i was able to recover quite well ! of course , not without getting scolded by zeus for my supposed .... ' lack of awareness ' of my surroundings . how have you been my friend ?
The wind changed first—quick, clever, unsettled. Then the water followed, tightening in small, uneasy ripples around Thalassa’s feet. She exhaled slowly, like she’d been expecting this interruption for far too long.
“Hermes,” she said without turning immediately, the name carrying a weight of old familiarity and newer caution. “I wondered when you’d come skulking through my waters again.”
When she finally faced him, there was no surprise in her eyes—only a measured patience that suggested she had dealt with him before, and likely regretted it.
“You never visit without bringing trouble with you,” she added, faintly. “So go on. Which kind is it this time?”
❧【 @msngrd 】❧ The water stilled—just for a moment—like it, too, was listening. Thalassa’s gaze didn’t move from him, though something in it sharpened at the word electrify. Subtle. Controlled. The kind of reaction only someone who had known storms long before Zeus ever claimed them could manage. “Mm.” A quiet hum, unimpressed, though not entirely dismissive “your entrances never get any quieter, do they?” she murmured, eyes flicking briefly to the scroll in his hand before returning to his face. “You’d think a god of thieves would learn the value of subtlety.” The tide curled a little higher at her feet, not aggressive—just… aware. At his question, a faint smile touched her lips, slow and knowing, like the pull of a current beneath still water. “Let me guess,” she said, voice smooth, threaded with dry amusement. “The sky grew restless, and now it’s my problem” her head tilted slightly, studying him—not the theatrics, but what sat underneath them. “Zeus doesn’t send you to me unless something’s already gone wrong,” she added, softer now, more pointed. “And you don’t look nearly concerned enough for this to be small…so either he’s underestimating me,” her gaze held his, steady and unyielding, “—or he’s underestimating you.”
RECIPIENT: @UnclaimedSea- A BOISTEROUS LAUGH , interrupts the stillness of the wings , the familiar whoosh! of a cape flying through the air before he halts completely , still floating among the wind as he hums , holding what seemed to be a scroll , once again a message from the god king himself. " well ,i'm here to deliver a message. one that will surely .... / electrify / your waters " aside from being zeus' messenger , hermes was the god of language , trade , and thieves -- naturally did he have a cunning personality , and despite his sociability , he tended to be .. too much at times . golden eyes gleam beneath his helmet , twirling his staff as he pointed it towards her " so , who do you think sent you a message , dear friend ? "
