The answer to the unspoken question: Yes! Yes, I've been writing and re-writing the same book for almost 10 years...I think I suffer from being a perfectionist...let me ponder on that thought...

@LilacsAreInBloom that's hilarious, thought I was the only one. I'd love to read your book and offer feedback!

@mrmr357 My gracious! I feel like I've written/re-written my book too, for the same reason lol. Would you be interested in doing a read-for-read to offer feedback to one another?

Would you like to do a r4r? My story is The Dreamers Hotel and it is YA fiction. I don't know if your book has cursing or not, but I prefer not to read that so please let me know of there is. Thank you <3

Personal experience with 1st person POV vs 3rd person POV:
While writing in first person came easier to me, switching my story to 3rd person allowed me to develop all my characters in such a way as was impossible before. So many questions that I left unanswered in the first draft of my book, I can now dive deeper and fill in. If you've read my book before, I urge you to reread it, as there are so many new chapters now that flesh out the story. Feel free to leave me feedback letting me know if you like the change or hate the change. Personally, I'm loving it though! >.<

@mrmr357 I wholeheartedly understand on rewritting a story, and even switching from first-person POV to third-person POV. With third-person, I was able to include details in my draft about my characters I had forgotten, and it feels like a camera is following through with the storyline. I have an older version (first-person POV) uploaded and a revised version written. With my rewrite, I have several new scenes and characters and even story arcs. It feela good to finally have a storyline going exactly how you wanted. And my rewrite is a third draft. I've rewritten my book three times fully, with three different endings, but my rewritten ending is the one I am sticking with. Congratulations in revising your work, and for entering the Wattys. :)

I took a loooong hiatus from writing, mostly to take a long hard look at the book I finished and then to muster up the courage and stamina to re-write the whole thing. I am currently re-writing it under another title and in third person as opposed to the first person. If you feel so inclined to re-read it, please do so, all constructive criticism is welcomed. Also, I feel like I am unshackling myself with switching to the third person, so now I can flesh out the story more and cover more plot holes! :)

Are you working on any other book?

@ReginaBellator Hi, sorry for my late response, life has been crazy busy lately (we're moving, and I hate moving). In response to your question though, yes, I'm working on a sequel to Blue Fire. :) I just haven't posted any of it yet.
