[ VIPER - first meeting ]
the dark tabby tom creeped through the forest, blending in with the shadows as he followed the thief of his mate's dinner. he had been watching that big, fat, juicy mouse, and just when he was about to pounce, a lithe black she-cat had leaped out of no where and taken his prey. he was not going to let her get away with stealing sunriver's fresh-kill. he stalked the small cat until he realized that she was heading toward one if the clan's camp. that thought distracted him for a moment, and he lost his balance and landed on the forest floor with an "oof." the she-cat turned around immediately and stared right at him.

"wait!" she called, her neck fur bristling. "monsterapaw. my name's monsterapaw. what made you want to get revenge?" she blubbered out, then became embarrassed.

the dark tabby hunched his broad shoulders and hung his head. he knew this would happen. "that's alright. i understand. nobody trusts me except for two cats. i just kind of wanted to tell someone who didn't know my story already. you, um, you can go if you want." he stood up and started to leave, but did it slowly in case the cat wanted to give him another chance, though he doubted it.

( @covepaw ) ⇢ ೖ୭ MONSTERAPAW. the shadow-like cat was practicing her stalking. she was currently creeping up on a dead leaf. excitement filled her as she imagined the satisfying crunch that she would hear underneath her dainty paws once she "caught" it. hearing a rustle behind her, monsterapaw pricked her large ears. a mouse? she wondered. before she could turn around, a big creature, definitely not a mouse, was on her back, and sharp claws were digging into her tail. ❝ow!❞ she screeched, jumping up. she shook the cat off of her and whipped around, breathing heavily. panic soared in her as she realized that she didn't know the bi-colored cat before her. pale green eyes narrowing, she hissed, ❝who are you?!❞

꧁ ੈ ˚ the petite molly floundered
along , her big , bushy tail softly swaying
and dipping with the gentle breeze .
she nimbly stepped over gnarled roots
that jutted from the earth , carefully evading their serrated branches . the sun hugged every surface of the woodland in it's buttercup embrace , warming the tiny passive feline . coming to a puddle of murky water , she rested on her haunches , before giving a spring forward over the befouled pool .
as she landed ,
a scent wafted towards her little pink nose . the mane of cottony pelage around her neck expanded , not unlike a hedgehog .
she peered across the dense forestry , brimming with life . this aroma was peculiar , unlike the avians and squirrels that darted about . this was a / cat / . she swallowed , her ears lowering as she spoke an alarmed greeting in her lofty , honey sweet voice

He looked down at the smaller she-cat . He was scared about how familiar the two cats looked, as both tall black cats looked familar . He hadn’t seen another tall black cat since he saw his father . Nightfeather shuddered at the thought of his father .
❝ Oh hello there . ❞ He mewed , trying not to scare the apprentice . Though he hated the apprentices , he felt a strange bond between the she-cat and himself . ❝ I’m Nightfeather , who might you be ?? ❞ His eyes gleamed with interest and curiousity .
