hey idk if anyone really cares (honestly. i don’t mean that in a self-deprecating, attention-seeking way, just being realistic) but i’m having a really fucking hard time and i don’t know when the next chapter of Dawn will be out, or when I’ll be able to start writing the rest of my new Joel fic. i will finish Dawn at some point, but i can’t predict when that will be. i’m tired. this fandom is kind of exhausting and the lack of encouragement overall has made me, and most fic writers, super unmotivated. i appreciate everyone who has read and loved everything i’ve put out, but the clique shit, and the blind hate, and the plagiarism, and the tone deaf bullshit is repulsive to me. i’m going through a lot personally, and the world is literally on fire, and so writing fic— especially with so little support in the fandom as a whole— doesn’t seem worth the time or effort. i hope everyone is well, i hope you’re all taking care of yourselves. i refuse to leave Dawn unfinished, but i just wanted to be real and blunt with everyone in regards to where i am personally right now.

i just want to say i cannot stress enough how good you are at writing love (if that makes sense) like when one of your characters is in love you write how they're feeling so well?? idk how to phrase it you're just really talented

It has come to my attention that there have been some fics posted recently that are extremely similar in plot and dialogue to both Sanctuary and Then Came You. Plagiarism does not solely consist of copying and pasting words, stealing an entire plot, characterizations, and dialogue IS plagiarism. I will not hesitate to delete all of my fics and leave this website entirely if this keeps up and the people who have stolen my work don’t take their copies down. I have a full time job, a partner, and a life outside of this fandom. I write fics for fun and I will continue to do so without sharing them. Please be respectful of the time and effort I put into making stories for your enjoyment. If you want to write a fic that is inspired by one of my stories— ASK ME FIRST and give credit. I can’t believe I even have to make this announcement… I know that many of you are a lot younger than I am and perhaps you didn’t know that what you are doing is wrong, so I’m here to tell you nicely ONCE. Do not steal other people’s work, that goes for all fic writers not just me. This has been a huge issue recently on tumblr and it’s causing fic writers to leave the fandom. I will not hesitate to leave as well.

Hi everyone -- "Then Came You" is finally finished. Thank you everyone who has shown me and this fic so much love. I appreciate you all. I am going out of the country for the next few weeks, so unless I can get a chapter edited and finished before I leave tomorrow night, "Sanctuary" won't be updated for a while. 
          
          I've also unpublished my TLOU fic because I have a better plot idea that I'll start as soon as I'm finished with "Sanctuary".
