Good morning Dear Readers, wherever you are. It's Labour Day here in Canada and I'm looking forward to a luxurious day off where I may just do absolutely nothing but walk my dogs, watch some spooky movies in celebration of my favourite season approaching and get in some writing.
          
          Sorry about being MIA for the summer from Chasing Blue. The last chapters were difficult to write as they were based on real life events and it took me some time to find my way back to the novel. But back I am with a fresh, new chapter. Author's Note: Chapter 11 Kelly's Mountain, November
          
          Although Chasing Blue is a work of fiction, this chapter is not. What happens here, on a cold rainy day in the mountains of Cape Breton, is something that really happened to me. My dog Nemo (who inspired Blue) disappeared into the wild Highlands and for a long, terrible time, I didn't know if I'd ever see him again. Writing this chapter and revisiting these moments was very difficult. Every detail lives deep in my bones.

Happy Sunday, lovely readers. It was hard to get any writing done today with my five month old puppy Kevin crawling all over me and the laptop, but I managed to post the next chapter in Chasing Blue. It's a rainy, depressing day here in Nova Scotia; I hope wherever you are is warm and cozy. Hope this chapter makes you smile, we all need to feel the sun now and then, especially after the storm.
