was he really feeling a tad jealous about his dogs?   [ ∙∙∙ ]   yes,  probably.   but he can't really admit that at the same time,  it's childish..   yet seeing her this pleased was worth it.   "⠀you wanna feed 'em treats?⠀"

            her gaze would wander about,   darting from the flowers to the bags,   finally landing on his expression.   for a moment,   she stared at him in awe,   practically speechless,   before smiling softly.   “  i would love that.   but first..   i would like to see everything you bought.   ”

"⠀i got a bit excited..⠀"   hues fixate elsewhere,  and he awkwardly rubs his nape.  what was he so tense for?   perhaps he was really going through it─–  asides from the bouquet of flowers,  there was a plushie..  perfume,  a few dresses..  and accessories.   (there was probably more).    "   you can..  try them out.⠀"

            “   will..   ”   she only continued to hesitate,   hues relaxing,   still obviously shaken up by the sight.   as one hand kept its grip on his shirt,   the other slowly reached for the hand that dropped the knife,   wishing to gently hold it..   to hold him.   though she was unsure if he would allow such a thing in his current state.   “   will you allow me to help you?   ”

being in the dreamscape was still a sick excuse to do it,  fully knowing well that he truly wasn't hurt.   yet..  was still aware of the pain.   "⠀s–sorry..⠀"   eiran softened immediately   "⠀i don't know what to do with myself i─..⠀"   the knife is dropped,  and a solemn gaze is fixed to golden hues.   [ ∙∙∙ ]   was she dissapointed in him?  why was she looking that way..?

            what had he been doing..?   there was times where the hounds behavior would confuse the mirror holder,   more often than she would like to admit—   and this could be considered one of those confused times.   “   why are you..?   ”   her voice spoke out quietly,   barely audible.   feet were quick to rush to the others side,   wishing to grab onto his wrists in an attempt to stop him,   but she hesitated.   a pocket knife in his hand,   stained with blood..   mene’s eyes widened,   slowly grabbing onto the hem of his shirt.

            she blinked,   tilting her head.   “   i was merely..   thinking..   ”   her voice trails off.   though,   her steps inched closer to him,   a small tint of red covering her pointed ears.   despite   ‘merely thinking’,   she leaned in close to place a gentle kiss against his cheek.

his widened eyes briefed,  taken aback.   "⠀you—..⠀"   and words came to a halt.  her upbringing came as a surprise..   sure,   it was merely a 'kiss',  but it was different with mene.   especially when she had been the one one who thought of initiating it,  (when he usually does).   "⠀well then..  go on.⠀"   he trails off,  now lowering himself for her.

            her gazed casted towards the ground,   giving him a small glance as she answered.   “   ..kiss.   i was thinking..   of kissing you..   ”

            the sweet kisses were only the beginning,   it seemed..   her head tilting off to the side,   subconsciously allowing him more room to scatter the love marks.   eyes fluttered shut,   a soft breath,   tempting to calm herself as he had said.   “   i..   i apologized..   ”   mene’s head shook slowly,   merely glancing towards him with half lidded eyes.   “   no..   it’s fine,   i don’t mind..   ”

"⠀.. that makes me happy.⠀"   the undertone were spoken against a flushed skin,  soon..  it will be marred with plenty of love marks.   just as he wanted.   "⠀you're so tense..   relax amore mio.⠀"   coaxing the maiden,   his hand shifts──  finding purchase upon the lissome waist.   "⠀do you hate this?  i can stop if you'd like.⠀"   another kiss is spoiled,  only this time set to her jawline.

            words didn’t manage to spill from her lips fast enough,   releasing a quiet,   startled noise instead.   mene was well aware that he had his bold moments,   but to place kisses against her neck so suddenly?   it caused her face to almost immediately turn flushed.   “i..   uum..   i-i did..   ”

            ‘everything’?   everything they did,   and have done together..   he was clearly having difficulties to explain to her,   which only caused her mind to wander.   how could he question if evening was real to her?   “   everything..   of course it was real.   but,   i dont understand why you would question it..   ”

in his sigh simply conveyed the patent vexation.   followed with a pinch to his bridge nose,  (...)  it's difficult to disclose what he had meant,  as it took awhile once the digits loosen from it's nip.   "⠀everything.⠀"   he repeats.   "⠀everything that we have done,  spent together.⠀"

            three..   he had already counted the five she had assumed,   so her guess wasn’t correct.   her head tilted to the side,   watching curiously,   and searching for anymore piercings she had missed.   “   ..   huh?   ”   mene’s gazed glanced to meet his,   and for some reason..   there was a red hue growing on her cheeks.   “   no,   that’s—   uum..!   ”

"⠀there's three here.⠀"   shifting to his left ear,   it further ensued with every visible piercing counted.   each drawled utterance,  touch—  all so palpable.   "⠀.. wouldn't that mean you haven't been paying attention on me?⠀"

"⠀yes...  i do.⠀"   a shallow breath── adam's apple bobbing conspicuously out of anxiety.   "⠀i really...  r͟e͟a͟l͟l͟y want you here.⠀"   the perturbed hound had never felt this powerless.   he knew very well it'd be a foolish attempt to even  /convince/  and interfere with her wishes.
