@jespah Ahh, I see, makes sense. Yeah, it makes me happy when people get my older cartoon references

@mdoogle I'm not much of a newbie stalker - I just saw Fred (and it took me a little while to remember where I knew him from) and then - oh yeah - kewl! These days, Courage is a pretty obscure 'toon so it was just awesome to see the Fredster.

And welcome to the ?UESTIONS! They're lotsa fun.

@mdoogle Also, hello to you! :) I've been lurking on the '?UESTIONS' thread for a while, and I've seen that you're a regular there. I only just recently decided to post on it, so I'm assuming you stalk all the newbies? ;) :D

Just wanted to say thanks for 'finishing and appreciating' my Bitterman story.

Ah, I see. Feel free to 'bore' me if you wish. I think I may appreciate more than you think. :)

I really did enjoy it. I started to wonder how other, similarly old but physically constrained, psychopaths might satisfy their overwhelming urges to dismember people. If they're unable to even stand up, how will they cope? Will they have to resort to damaging people psychologically or emotionally? I don't know, but somehow mind games don't seem to be enough for people like Bateman and Bitterman.

A random question: do you plan to move back to Scotland at some point in your life?

I have read American Psycho and am flattered by the association, but it must be more than twenty years ago now, so if I'm influenced by it at all it's on some long forgotten, subliminal level. No, the name Bitterman came about for other, slightly more convoluted reasons that I won't bore you with now; besides the obvious, I mean - that he is quite simply a very bitter man.

But of course! It is nigh on impossible to finish reading Bitterman without appreciating it in some form or the other. Hence the vote. :)

I recently read American Psycho and it delighted me to draw parallels between the two. Have you read it? And if so, is the [slight?] similarity between the names 'Bitterman' and 'Bateman' entirely intentional or a happy coincidence?

My apologies, though, for the 1001 responses to your message. It would be useful if we could edit comments on this site. :)
