@sarahgrimmm And if there’s anyone anyone should be thanking here is you God, you took something that has been pigeonholed into being a largely generic and soap-opera-y genre with little to no nuance and ALL kinds of problematic bs to this layered and eye-opening world where supernatural creatures and/or characters have depth and flaws beyond the weird beliefs and nonsense that their writers’ project and push onto them. If it weren’t for you, among an unfortunate few, then I wouldn’t have got back into werewolf/supernatural stories. Like no really, I used to be so obsessed with them in middle school. And then I grew up and grew tired of the weird misogynistic tropes and underlying racism that filled those stories. But between you and khalessi, y’all have single handedly revived werewolf stories with a sort of Suzanne Collins-edge to it. (That probably doesn’t mean much to you but writing YA stories with a deeper political and social/moral commentary is such a rare skill…you should def be proud of it. I know I am)
