Put the blade down, Talia.

lazarusoath

@vengcent there was a certain pride in knowing he would come all this way for her. if she could not have him, then even the most difficult and heart wrenching moments were worth anticipating. love has no home in the heart of an al ghul even if it calls to them. “the blade bears no desire to etch your name upon it.” nor shall it ever. they found themselves ensnared in a scene often romanticized by troubadours. the glint of steel, wielded by talia, poised menacingly as he dared to intervene on behalf of another, now marked for her wrath. talia, a predator in her own right, hungered to mete out justice in the manner of those who would charge into the fray of a war-torn field. she cursed him for embodying the enigma and allure that defined him as the batman, the world's most righteous and modest protector, a man who found solace in the shadows she too often inhabited.

CHARACTER NOTES FOR TALIA AL GHUL; THE DAUGHTER OF THE DEMON (2024).

lazarusoath

Talia's allegiance shift from herself to Nyssa Raatko following her brainwashing and trauma not only altered her loyalties but also fueled hostility towards Bruce Wayne. The profound psychological impact of Nyssa's manipulation and the relentless cycle of death and resurrection left Talia emotionally scarred and deeply distrustful. As a result, Talia's once complex relationship with Bruce deteriorated into animosity and resentment. The trauma and brainwashing inflicted upon her by Nyssa further exacerbated her feelings of betrayal and disillusionment, leading her to view Bruce with suspicion and disdain.

In the aftermath of these events, Talia relinquished her role as CEO of LexCorp, severing ties with the corporate world and retreating into isolation. Stripped of her former power and influence, she found herself adrift, grappling with the remnants of her shattered identity and fractured psyche.

During her tenure as CEO of LexCorp, Talia falls victim to a kidnapping orchestrated by Nyssa Raatko, her half-sister. Seeking retribution against Ra's al Ghul, Nyssa repeatedly murders Talia and resurrects her in the Lazarus Pit, subjecting her to a relentless cycle of death and revival until she succumbs to a state of psychological disarray and manipulation.

Driven by her newfound allegiance to Nyssa, Talia is coerced into carrying out a fatal mission to eliminate Ra's al Ghul, an act witnessed by Batman himself. Subsequently, Nyssa usurps Ra's's position as the leader of the League of Assassins following his demise. Despite her resurrection, Talia remains bound to Nyssa, faithfully serving her until her eventual demise. (Adapted from "Death and the Maidens").
