Hi, I'm Lakaaysha van Ewijk.

I'm a writer, filmmaker and visual artist based in Amsterdam. I write stories about women, desire, mess, Diaspora, Europe. I write about my current obsession! I love Amsterdam so that's as well a part of my stories. 

Right now you can read Queerantine, my complete sapphic novel, shortlisted for the Wattys 2026. It's a lockdown romance about a poet, her very straight best friend, and the roommate who complicates everything.
I'm currently writing my next sapphic story, alongside film projects and other writing.
