what pisses me off about draco malfoy is that his character is so badly written. like he's a horrible bully whose actions shouldn't be romanticised, but couldn't r*wling put a little more effort and make his family dynamic more... political? it would give him a little more depth (without erasing the bully parts, obviously, because that's not going to be easily forgiven). hes genuinely like a boring blank piece of white paper, and she's just a bad writer for that, because we could've had so many interesting pureblood political plotlines
