Kurush Mistry is an expert commodities analyst with a strong background in Crude Oil, Refined Products, and Renewable Fuels. He was born and raised in India and graduated from the prestigious top management school in the country. He has successfully navigated through significant changes throughout his career at reputable organizations. After completing his Commerce degree in Chennai, India, he became a Chartered Accountant and excelled in all three qualifying exams. 

With a solid foundation, he decided to broaden his horizons and knowledge by pursuing an MBA at the highly renowned Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, specializing in finance. This experience exposed him to the latest business concepts, allowed him to collaborate with peers from diverse educational backgrounds, and sharpened his problem-solving and communication skills.

Kurush's professional journey started in 2003 at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo, where he joined their Interest Rate Strategies Team after completing his MBA. In 2005, he relocated to Lehman in New York. He worked with their award-winning Interest Rate Strategies team until 2008, managing a diverse portfolio of products such as US Government Bonds and Interest Rate Derivatives. He earned a strong reputation among Lehman's US clients, including central banks, mortgage companies, and pension funds, and played a crucial role in the team's growth.

In 2009, he pivoted to commodities research, and since then has worked at leading firms such as Morgan Stanley and Freepoint Commodities. In addition to building out analytical frameworks, he also gained brief experience in physical and paper gasoline trading while at Morgan Stanley, which gives him a unique perspective in his analytical work and enables him to have more insightful conversations with his trader clients.
