When asked to describe myself I always draw a blank. I never know how to do this. I guess I will just do this like I do everything else: very random and scattered, so try not to get lost.

- I have a sometimes wonderful, sometimes aggravating as he**  husband: Chris.
- My 18 yr old son,Zach, makes me wonder. He just makes me wonder about so many things these days. (Only people who have raised a teenager to this point will understand this statement.)
- I have 2 dogs and 3 cats.  Some days it is like a zoo around my house. (That is not a simile.)
- I LOVE my family! All of them: big, small, hairy, happy, grouchy, hungry, and loud!

- I am an 8th grade language arts teacher (which is probably why I am random and scattered)
- I love my students!!!!!
- I love teaching literature!
- I love teaching writing!
- I despise teaching grammar!!  (It is way too similar to math!)

My favorite personal activities are:
- reading (I'll read anything, but I especially love books with a darker mood and tone.  I, however, loathe all these cliche murder mysteries that have become the fad, lately.)
- writing (I will rarely share the pieces I write because I think I am writing for more of its cathartic effect than its entertainment purposes.)
-cooking (If I could get someone to clean as I cook, I would cook all the time.)
-napping (I don't really trust people who say they don't need to sleep.)
