I just finished watching "Fellow Travelers," which is a miniseries about two gay men from the 50's to the 80's. The show had me BAWLING. It was so beautiful and heartbreaking. It was also unapologetically gay (like a lot of gay sex that did not shy away y'all).
It reminded me of when I was in high school and I was so passionate about LGBTQ+ rights. I still am, but I lost the drive as I got older. When I first started writing on Wattpad, same-sex marriage wasn't federally legalized yet. My high school banned a girl from wearing a suit to the prom. It's crazy because we've come so far along but now it almost feels like we've gone back as well. This realization really got to me this morning, but then I thought about little high school me putting up the good fight. Kids today are doing that too. I want to do that too.
I feel so motivated to write even more, creatively and politically. I think you guys are going to get more stories from me about beautiful queer people :) and the world is going to get pieces from me about why she would actually give a damn about each other.
Thanks to all of my followers <3
