Fading Memories
The days we shared, now but a distant dream,
Echoes of laughter, a bittersweet theme.
Your smile, once bright, now a haunting sight,
As shadows of the past cloud my waking light.
The empty space where you used to be,
A void that aches with each memory.
I long to hear your voice, to feel your touch,
But the silence of your absence weighs too much.
Time marches on, yet my heart stays still,
Trapped in a moment that time cannot kill.
I cling to the moments we had before,
Wishing, praying, to live them once more.
But the past is gone, and I must move on,
Though my soul cries out, my love lingers long.
In the depths of this sorrow, I find a glimmer of hope,
That one day, I'll find the strength to finally cope.
