I knew conservatism was on the rise again when I saw a girl on my timeline ask for advice on how to “appear more feminine” and every piece of advice she got was patriarchal bullshit. “take out your piercings”, “wear more dresses/skirts”, “be softer”, “be more submissive” … what the hell are we even talking about right now? femininity doesn’t have a look, it’s all just confidence.

I just called a “social justice warrior” for defending an intersex woman … why do people  think it’s okay to insult things that they deem “abnormal”?
