Hey everyone!
Sorry for the long delay—I know it’s been a while. I am still in my hometown, and to be honest, it was one of the saddest reasons to go back. I was supposed to visit this coming December to reconnect with my family... but life had other plans.
Grief is never easy, and it still feels surreal. But I’m holding on, healing slowly, and I wanted to thank everyone who’s been patient with me. I just spoke to my best friend (who lowkey monitors my Wattpad like a manager), and she told me some of you have been asking for story updates. I’ll be back home by next week, and hopefully, I can get back into writing soon. Thank you, truly.
Now... for some chaos to lighten the mood.
So while I was home, I got to hang out with my army of nieces and nephews (age range: 12–19). And although I’m not that old—excuse me, 29 is young, vibrant, fresh (insert dramatic hair flip)—being around them made me feel like a dinosaur trying to understand Gen Z language.
After dinner one night, I walked in on 12 to 15 of them gathered in the living room. Some were on their phones playing games, some watching K-dramas, and then I spotted two of my most dangerous troublemakers—my 12-year-old nephew (who firmly insists he’s a niece) and my equally chaotic niece—watching something on the couch, giggling like little devils.
Curious (and naïve), I peeked and was like, “Oh? Watching BL too?”
Then I froze.
They were TWELVE. YEARS. OLD.
TWELVE!!!
And there I was, a whole 29-year-old human, who only started diving into the BL world at 28, feeling like I missed the youth enrollment deadline to the BL Addict panic club.
So I asked them what they were watching. They beamed with pride and showed me: My Sweetheart Jom. I blinked slowly. Then the others swarmed in and started asking, “Tita, have you watched BL? What have you seen?”
Trying to keep up with their energy, I proudly said, “FOUREVER YOU!”
They gasped. They cheered. They approved.
