Hey everyone!
Sorry for the long delay—I know it’s been a while. I am still in my hometown, and to be honest, it was one of the saddest reasons to go back. I was supposed to visit this coming December to reconnect with my family... but life had other plans.
Grief is never easy, and it still feels surreal. But I’m holding on, healing slowly, and I wanted to thank everyone who’s been patient with me. I just spoke to my best friend (who lowkey monitors my Wattpad like a manager), and she told me some of you have been asking for story updates. I’ll be back home by next week, and hopefully, I can get back into writing soon. Thank you, truly.
Now... for some chaos to lighten the mood.
So while I was home, I got to hang out with my army of nieces and nephews (age range: 12–19). And although I’m not that old—excuse me, 29 is young, vibrant, fresh (insert dramatic hair flip)—being around them made me feel like a dinosaur trying to understand Gen Z language.
After dinner one night, I walked in on 12 to 15 of them gathered in the living room. Some were on their phones playing games, some watching K-dramas, and then I spotted two of my most dangerous troublemakers—my 12-year-old nephew (who firmly insists he’s a niece) and my equally chaotic niece—watching something on the couch, giggling like little devils.
Curious (and naïve), I peeked and was like, “Oh? Watching BL too?”
          	Then I froze.
          	They were TWELVE. YEARS. OLD.
          	TWELVE!!!
And there I was, a whole 29-year-old human, who only started diving into the BL world at 28, feeling like I missed the youth enrollment deadline to the BL Addict panic club.
So I asked them what they were watching. They beamed with pride and showed me: My Sweetheart Jom. I blinked slowly. Then the others swarmed in and started asking, “Tita, have you watched BL? What have you seen?”
Trying to keep up with their energy, I proudly said, “FOUREVER YOU!”
They gasped. They cheered. They approved.

          	- there's a continuation

Hi, just a short note to say that I hope you are doing okay. Life sometimes throws things at us and it gets hard to breathe. Just remember to step back a bit and just feel, it's not always easy but I believe in you. Just a short note from your number one fan and know I am thinking about you and hope you are living each day the way you want and remember to smile:)

I know you're resting, but I suddenly felt like telling you an idea I got in my mind and wanted you to consider it, like idk if you have seen this BL PItbabe series, I just wanted to pick up the concept of Racers and Mechanics. Like I want to see 2 doctors along with Tiger and 2 little ones as racers, and 2 doctors and 3 little ones as mechanics. Do let me know what you think about this...

Aishuuu43

I miss you, come back soon...

@Aishuuu43 Hi I just got back today! Well, I didn't really watch PitBabe—what can I say? I’m a newly converted BL drama addict who hasn’t really dove deep into the BL ocean yet. Even though I haven’t seen it, I already considered the Racer-Medic storyline… now I’ll add Racer-Mechanic to the list. ️

I promise I’ll try to watch other BL dramas too—not just my faves (Fourever You cast and a few GMMTVs). Who knows? By the end of the year, I might graduate from “BL beginner” to “BL encyclopedia with emotional damage.

Thank you for the suggestion anyway, I'm totally open to it!

- continuation

And then came the BL recommendation ambush:
“Watch My Stubborn! KinnPorsche! Pit Babe! TopForm! Why R U! TharnType!”

At first, I was touched. Bonding moment! Shared interests! But then my brain screamed:
          WAIT—AREN’T THOSE MOSTLY RATED 18+?!
The horror. The internal panic. The attempt to stay calm while mentally filing a complaint to whoever invented curiosity.
Meanwhile, my older nieces just giggled at my suffering.
I told them I try to keep my Wattpad stories PG-ish, so my Vancouver nieces could read it. Then one of them—the one talking to her cousin while casually doxxing me—found my account.
She looked me dead in the eye and said:
          “Tita, you’re so Maria Clara.”
For those unfamiliar—Maria Clara is the OG Filipina character known for being sweet, shy, proper, modest, and basically allergic to scandal. In short:
The total opposite of a BL main character.
          I rolled my eyes.
          She added, “So conservative!”
          I nearly cried.
          So I tried to explain:
“I just don’t want to contribute to the already growing problem of teenage pregnancy, early relationships, and online content overload. Everything’s already out there—maybe I can write something softer, something that still matters.”
          Their response?
“Ahh kaya ka single, Tita. 29 na, wala pa rin.” ( "Ahh that’s why you’re single, Auntie. You’re already 29 and still don’t have anyone.")
          ...
          OUCH.
          My poor heart.
I came here to grieve and maybe vibe—not get emotionally assassinated by 12-year-olds.

But hey, at least I got good BL recs and enough emotional damage to write five more stories.
So yeah, that's that... I guess I'll see you soon.. lemme just rest for a bit and try to heal my annoyed, hurt poor heart

@ janvierbeau Your stories are amazing, really great, but sex among teenagers is and always will be. It's natural for them to be curious and to succumb to desire. As a good author, you have the opportunity to instill a little knowledge in them, to use Protection or about pills after sex and the like. Don't worry about it. There are a lot of teenagers who are uneducated in this regard. At least you have the opportunity to teach them something...

@janvierbeau sorry for your loss, author. Actually, I like your stories. I prefer this better than reading a R18+ na doon na lang umiikot ang mga kwento. Mas okay pa rin, mas nakakakilig na story. I'm rooting for you, author. Just keep writing

Hiya erveryone!

Just a quick update about my bestie, Janvier

She had to fly back to her home country because her older sister and her husband sadly passed away. She's currently there, helping her family and settling everything they need during this tough time.

She's bound to be back next week but for now, she's focusing on her family and taking care of things.I know a lot of us are waiting for story updates and she's so thankful for your patience and support.

Thank you so much for understanding
Let's send her all the love and strength from here.
