            el looked at the stranger . she didn't want to sound rude , or cold like she usually did so she smiled softly at her .
            “ oh ... i'm new , here . ”
            she declared at first .
            “ my name's el ! who are you ? ”
            she asked , titling her head slightly . the stranger seemed friendly , so she wasn't afraid of her , or anxious .

            el looked at the stranger . she was in fact almost crying . she had left her the place she currently lives in because of a fight , and she missed her home , her friends . she was also lost somewhere late at night . what a wonderful moment ! 
            “ yes . yes i - am good . ”
            she lied at first .

            she then asked .

            His voice was strained, desperate even, trying to claw himself from what he was seeing, he never thought he could feel like this again. Become so helpless as if he was back in that small dreadful room, "please," he whispered almost out of breath. His entire body tensed, nails digging into his skull, why didn't It protect him? "Please," a choked sob, he screwed his eyes shut, maybe he wouldn't see it anymore. It was everywhere, he felt it inside him. Time simply dragged along, even though it had only been a few minutes. Such a horrid dream this was, the worst of its kind, when one can't tell if it's real or fake.

            as el came in in the library , she knew what she was looking for . she looked around , and was about to ask the librarian some informations , when she noticed he was crying . usually , she wouldn't do anything about it , but , the young man seemed so upset !
            " crying ... ? what's wrong ? ”
            she asked gently , observing him . she imagined differ possibilities why he was in this state . loved one died , breakup , he lost something , loneliness maybe ? she couldn't know .

            usually she didn't like when people talked to her this way , because , usually , there was nothing actually wrong . but , at this moment , she thought that lexi didn't seem suspicious , and she instinctively trusted her . 
            “ california ... ”
            she repeated . yes , she already heard of this place but had absolutely no idea of where it was , or how she ended up here . she has been here for a few days , and didn't recognize anything since she took a bus to come back "home" . she guessed that she took the wrong one . 
            “ lexi . pretty name ... ! ”
            she commented honestly . she never heard anyone with the same name , and she really thought it was a great one . 
            “ ... maybe ... ”
            that meant yes to her . yes she needed help : she has nowhere to go , nowhere to sleep , and she was alone in this unknown place .

            Lexi took a step closer to the young girl. She didn't mean to scare her off but for the looks of the girl, she looked like she was about to pass out. ❝We're in California right now, do you need help? I'm Lexi Stark by the way❞ She said in a soft voice assuming that was enough for a cover letter

            she frowned , she thought someone told her that god's and goddesses didn't exist . but , she believed her .
            “ that's ... sweet . he's a kind dragon , then . good dragon . ”
            el sighed .
            “ they're like people ? evil ? ”
            why did every creatures always had to be evil ? not all but some . that was so sad .

            "norokoth is the goddess of dragons." tommy chuckled softly. "kilvas has been with me since i was a baby. he used to protect me from evil dragons."

            how strange , how can a melody summon such an unusual creature ? she couldn't believe her eyes .
            “kilvas ? wow , old ... pretty name ... he's beautiful . ”
            she commented , staring at the dragon . 
            “ norokoth ? is that ... your friend ? ” el asked simply .

            el nodded once again and helped her to get up gently to not hurt her more . 
            “ i came here for that . ”
            she declared , now helping the young woman to walk , not too fast . 
            “ it's not *only* for "people like us" . but it's safe . ”
            they didn't walk for a long time before el declared that they were arrived . there were stairs before they could come in a seemingly abandoned building , it had a lot of graffitis on it . el eventually helped her by slightly lifting her using her power so she wouldn't have to climb the stairs .
            the girl opened the door , it seemed less abandoned now , but nobody was there .
            “ usually ... people are here but ... they're - busy . ”
            she helped her to sit on the sofa and left for a few seconds to grab a first aid kit . 
            she took a piece of cotton and very gently tried to disinfect the wound .
            “ ... hmm ... will a bandage be ... enough ? ”
            she mumbled softly , partly to herself .

            Jana bit her lip before placing a hand under herself and starting to push herself up.
            "Could you..." her voice trailed off, the teenager not quite daring to let the word 'help' pass her lips.
            She breathed heavily, wincing as the skin stretched in her attempt to get up.
            "I didn't think there was anywhere safe around her. Not for people like us."

            el eventually smiled slightly , nodding . she thought jana's eyes were pretty like that , and that their unusual aspect was really nice . 
            “ sweet ... ”
            she simply replied . they'd have time to talk about it in a better place . there was no hurry for this .
            “ it is safe , yes . i have been there for ... some time . ”
            she declared simply .
            “ come on ! follow me . its near . ”
            she insisted , looking at her . 
            “ it's safe , i promise . ” 
            el took promises very seriously , so she thought it would convince jana to come with her .
