Kaiser seeing hatred as a form of love will forever be imprinted in my brain. he is so fucked up and I love it so much. genuine kindness is so foreign to him and its so strange because hate is all he's ever known. he feels so comfortable with disgust and fear and love makes him so uncomfortable because he's never experienced it.
          
          i feel like he's just fundamentally incapable of loving somebody for this exact reason, because he's so scared and disgusted by it deep down. hatred and abuse is normal to him, while kindness is not. AND THE FACT HE IS AWARE OF THIS but knows he literally cannot change  himself and would rather just live his life void of love.
          
          he finds pleasure in things, like destroying his enemies, asserting himself as the emperor, scoring incredible goals, but Michael Kaiser will never truly love another being—himself included. 
          
          The closest thing he would ever feel to love is how he clutches that soccer ball and believes that they're both trash. that's exactly how I'm going to tie that in with reader in the story hehehejehe
