"I'm an open book. Written in an unknown language."
- LINDA HOWARD

"Books were her life. When the world seemed to shut her out and hide her from view, books were always there to lend her a voice and take her to places she would never visit."
- JANE MATISSE

Why do we write fiction?
To express ourselves.
Because we like the sound of our own voices.
To explore new world.
To explore old ones.
To be somewhere else.
Maybe to make sense of ourselves?
To free ourselves.
To get free of ourselves.
To show people what it's like inside our heads.
To make people laugh.
To get attention.
Because it's all we know how to do.
To stop hearing the voices in our heads.
To stop being anything and anywhere at all.
To leave our mark.
To create something that will outlive us.
To share something true.
Why do we write fiction? To disappear...
- RAINBOW ROWELL

"She writes romance novels, Oak. Fucking fairytales. That means, deep down, she wants the fairytale for herself." - Rush, Rebel Heir by Alexa Riley
