Yet even Kael, fearless as he appears, is not immune to terror. When a machine falls, the feedback tears through him: a shriek of steel and thought that pierces the skull, unholy and relentless. The neural backlash twists the entire network, causing the machines to falter, shudder, or collapse into paralyzing stillness, helpless until he regains control. To those who watch, he recovers in moments. To Kael, each second stretches into an eternity of screaming. He does not cry. He does not plead. He screams—raw, guttural, agonizing—a sound etched into the memory of all who hear it.
            
            Even in solitude, he is never alone. His thoughts are haunted by the voices of his machines, whispering and clamoring even far from the cockpit. He shares nothing of their words; they are his private torment. Some claim he has reached beyond humanity itself, establishing contact with the Vod, a race whose very existence bends comprehension, whose Dholl war engines move like living nightmares. How he forged such a link is unknown, and the mere idea chills those who serve alongside him. They fear the day he may yield to the Vod, granting them what they seek, and in doing so, announcing humanity’s inevitable undoing.
            
            Kael does not fear this end. Perhaps he welcomes it. For his mind, carved by war, haunted by metal, and stretched to the edges of comprehension, walks the thin line between sanity and oblivion willingly—and in his passage, the world trembles.

            10/10 already excited to see the story you make for him 

/    I'll work on this acc some other time, but for now, just know that he's a mech pilot who was part of a military project that resulted in him having augmentations that allow him to control autonomous machines with his mind. He's the only one with this augmentation, as it was a test to see how much the human brain could handle.
            
            I created this oc for a sci-fi universe that one of my friends developed, and I'm really fond of this character. :)
