@janiabeans Hi! Ubiquitous was unfortuntately never even started, but there are mentions of the characters in my Drew book, Phone Swap. (Also, highly unlikely, but Emily might yet get her book in the end as her storyline is related to an event in PS). Have a good time reading these! x
I've lost most of my motivation for Phone Swap. Life's picking up again, I'm doing another course and applying for jobs, and PS is the unfortunate collateral damage. I'll try to pick it back up again in March, but I'd rather not make any promises. Hope you're all well, and happy leap day x
New Phone Swap chapter came out yesterday! It's a bit of a filler, but also the last chapter I have edited, so back to the drawing board it is...
I know I'm almost a year late to this, but it's devastating that the Wattys now exclude fanfiction from submission categories. I've been on Wattpad since 2013 and it's a website that has always been synonymous with ( however unfortunately, mostly bad) fanfiction. Instead of completely getting rid of the category, they could have adapted the competition to include it while respecting intellectual property copyright by simply not including a monetary prize for this category. The argument that fanfiction demands less work and effort than original fiction has never been a valid argument, not for the genre as a whole. Not to mention that publishing original work on Wattpad can actually be detrimental if you decide to publish traditionally, even with a different piece of work.
Wattpad needs to remember what it was built on, or get rid of fanfiction entirely. But dignity and consistency is hard to expect from a company that has been going downhill for a decade.

Apologies for Saturday's lack of update. I've been ill since Christmas and back to work so Phone Swap slipped my mind, which is a tragedy, because the next chapter is a New Year's one. That said, it will be updated on the 5th!

Nothing hurts more than knowing that I fully intended to continue Art's story as well as Emily's and Addie's (past phone swap) and knowing that I most likely won't get to, not in the way I wanted to

I'm already editing the upcoming weeks' chapters so fingers crossed, updates will return to be regular, for the first time since 2020. Thanks for everyone who has stuck around and thanks to any new readers who are eagerly awaiting what's to come. You're the reason why this is back in production x
Hello again, everyone! I have some exciting news: Phone Swap will officially be returning in October, with weekly updates!
My aim was to post the first chapter on Saturdays, starting with Oct 7th. However, due to some external circumstances in my life, that might end up being delayed. I am currently writing the first drafts for the last ten chapters, with 30 chapters ready to be edited and posted. Fingers crossed it all works out as planned, and you guys get the next PS chapter on Oct 7th.
I read all of Phone Swap I had written prior to getting back to working on it a few weeks ago, and I can honestly, from the bottom of my heart, say that you guys are not ready. I can also say that PS, with all its flaws, is still my most previous work to date. So here's to hopefully sharing it with you again soon.
Is the drew Starkey fic discontinued?
