I completely forgot to commemorate the date, but I've now been on Wattpad for 10 years! It's my belated Wattyversary! Pretty surreal, hey? I made this account when I was 13 years old after a friend suggested that I read 'I Sold My Soul to the Devil for Vinyls' - back when this site was inundated with vampires and werewolves (though that hasn't changed, even when everything else has!).

I wanted to be a writer and treated my ambition with a militarised focus (for a 13 year old). So I played with words until I landed on something I actually finished. 'White Lies' became a thing, and then 'Red Leather' after that. I had grand plans of finishing the series with a final story, prematurely titling it 'Black Ink'. Then, much like the Avatar, I froze myself in an iceberg for a hundred years. I'm so sorry for everyone who's still waiting for that story! Your patience is probably worn thin, which I can understand.

As I got older, I became embarrassed by the world-building and narrative-weaving I kept hidden in this small corner of the internet. Writing and I grew further apart. But I found a new voice, and in 2016 I began to gather the threads of a new story called 'Into the Velvet' (from lyrics to a Stevie Nicks song). My own story of bad decisions and growing up and uncertainty, fictionalised and projected onto a small town US setting.

It's as if that orange W has followed me through the high and low tides of my life. A nagging beacon reminding me to never stop writing. I've grown up with Wattpad, and I still find that Wattpad is not done growing either. This website is ever-changing and mutating, and I'm exciting to keep writing and to see where this is all taking us. So cheers to 10 years! And thanks for sticking around on this ride with me!

Hello friends! I've just finished uploading the last two chapters of 'Into the Velvet'. Help me say goodbye to these beloved characters of mine by giving them a read! If you've read all the way to the end, if you've ever voted or commented, or even clicked to read a chapter or two, I owe you my deepest thanks. Seriously. Thank you for giving me a shot. I've waited a long time to give you all a proper new story. Thank you for choosing this little story of mine. You made every upload possible. <3

Also, I'd like to give a warm, sappy shout-out to my regular readers! The reason I want to acknowledge everyone is because your engagement and patience and love for Louise really translated over to what made it on the page. Your comments and support meant the absolute world to me, and I had the most fun getting to know some of you. I look forward to seeing what some of you will do! This isn't a complete list, but thank you to: @_homeslice_ @-blushings @Ivywritesstuff @theartofhearts @pradnya0405 @Fay_Claud @stormy-flare @cosmic-dreamer @linacorrella @sundowning @avenging_angel_148 <3 What an awesome bunch of people. Thanks for being so entertained by my words! Also, if you're a silent reader, you deserve a mention and I love you just as much.

Also, a super special shout-out to both @Ivywritesstuff and @threewordslate for letting me USE THEIR GOD GIVEN NAMES for my characters! Thank you endlessly! Sami and Ivy are two characters who hold a tiny slice of my heart in their fictional hands. So thank you for giving me permission to use your likeness to make art. <3

If I start on that new story idea, or if I have more 'Into the Velvet' updates, I'll let you know. To cut a long post short, enjoy the last two chapters, and enjoy the rest of your brilliant day. Thanks for giving me a chance after my long hiatus! <3 <3 <3

New chapter now ready. Surprise! Brb let me curl up in a corner and cry for my babies and the fact that I have to finish the story soon and let them go. :'(

Another update is ready for you to read. Because there's only a handful of chapters to go - and a week to go before the Wattys - I'll be uploading as I finish them. Which means more regular updates. We're nearly there!

help-me-think-of-one

Massive apologies for the delayed update. This chapter is very long, but necessary. It was also really hard for me to write.

Sometimes when I write these scenes of Louise in therapy, it feels like I'm going to therapy with her. I'm hearing the things that I wish someone had said to me when I'd needed them. To tell the truth, Louise's story is based a lot around true events. Her story is my way of telling my own story. The things that I've had to learn - painfully and painstakingly, sometimes against my own will.

So I hope that you can take away something from this story. I hope that you can learn from mine - and Louise's - mistakes.

On a lighter note: there will be a new update soon! Stay tuned as always xx

Hey! I recently started to write my first book called Totally Psycho. If you are into Action - Romance, Love Triangles, Badass Women and more, I would appreciate if you checked it out.

I would also appreciate any feedback.

          Thank you✨❤️
