@happyathello13 I’m so glad to hear from you too! I am doing well overall and I don’t mean to make this sad, but Leo was diagnosed with cancer last week and is declining very quickly. Today and tomorrow are likely the last days that I’ll be with him. If you could just hug your dogs and give them some extra love for me, that would mean the world to me ❤️

I’ve had a couple people ask about the possibility of future books or etc today, so I thought I’d make an announcement just so everyone was on the same page. I do not think I will write more books. I can’t say that for sure, but over the last year I’ve greatly restructured my entire life following some changes in it, mostly all for the good, and writing no longer feels like a natural piece of my days anymore. I’ve found further enjoyment in my career, my hobbies, simple pleasures. I’ve finally found quiet in my head, which has been over two decades worth of trying to do so, and these little characters no longer seem to occupy my thoughts as often as they would have before. I hope you can understand and respect this season of my life, and know that I am still around! I see your comments, votes, posts, I am here, just no longer writing - at least for the time being. Thank you for the love you’ve shown me and my works over the last few years, Grace Kent forever lives in my brain… she’s far too much like me to ever leave it. Writing has been a way for me to slip into other people’s shoes for a long time, but I think I’ve finally found a pair that fits me.
That being said, I’m sure I’ll see you around - I never drift far. Talk soon.

@happyathello13 This is great to read. It's fair for every writer who has given us something as beautiful as Grace Kent to finally find peace, so Grace Kent and her stories are not needed anymore. For me, as long as i'm able to read your books, i'm good! Knowing you have stopped writing for this reason makes it even better! Thank you once again for making this place worth visiting. P.s. life brought me upon a person who acted a lot like Taylor acted when she first met Grace in Camera Flashes. I didn't realize this before I started replying to you now. The story didn't play the same way, this person is not in the picture anymore and if I revisit this 5 years from now I probably won't remember who I'm talking about, but the point is: the shoes you walked in back then were not yours, they were imaginary maybe, but they were someone's real, not imaginary shoes at some point in time. And since this story is out there, they will continue to fit peoples' feet like they fit mine after the story was completed. And I think that's beautiful!

@jennamyl0ve hi! No, it’s not that. I’m just tired… I don’t necessarily have the passion to write and follow through with a story anymore, nor am I comfortable with writing fanfic about real people anymore. I’ve grown up a lot in the last year or so and my priorities have greatly shifted as I focus on my career and self care more. Writing just isn’t my thing anymore, I’ve found much enjoyment in other things that take up quite a lot of my time, like working, fitness and quite honestly just enjoying a tv show without having to write ideas down as I watch it because my brain would never stop thinking about storylines. I hope you understand, thank you for your offer haha

I hope Wattpad and people disrespecting your wishes for no adaptations/translations etc hasn’t wrecked your joy for writing. I truly think you’re incredibly talented and could easily become a published author in the future if you still have a passion there

@aussiefruitcake thank you that’s very sweet. That warning has always been in my bio, I’ve just moved it up in recent months because more and more people were asking and obviously not seeing it. I’ve had a few people plagiarize my work so I don’t play around with it. Honestly I’m just so tired… I’ve grown up, I’ve learned things about myself this year that have restructured my life, I’m still a fan of Taylor but not hardcore, and I don’t have the passion to follow through with a story. Never mind the fact that I don’t necessarily feel comfortable writing fanfic anymore. Your words are very sweet. This was just a natural development for me and a decision that feels right as I focus more on self care and my career
