I have a vacation stretching through the entirety of this December... I've been perusing classics primarily... But I also read Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas... What a cliffhanger! I read Dracula, Crime and Punishment, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Professor, Persuasion, Shirley, Villette etc. And I re read a number of classics. I just finished Lady Susan, by Jane Austen, which was rather amusing, almost as unprincipled and unscrupulous as Bel Ami, which was a welcome change after finishing up with Northanger Abbey. I am currently stuck with Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter, in order to finish which, I probably require a rather strong incentive. God knows what that will be.
