Listen, if you plan on stabbing someone, could you hurry up about it?

@dangeroustendencies ⠀⠀ with the comfort of the mask back over her mauled flesh, she takes a moment to compose herself once more. she is logical, methodical — she needs to be if she wants to fix herself. “you HAVE a human face, therefore you cannot say you have never hid behind one. to those who do not know, you appear as human. these masks of mine, they are the only thing that provides the human appearance, and even then it’s iffy given the claws.” speaking of the claws, they move into her pockets — forming a fist to harm her own flesh rather than ruin the fabric of her pants.
⠀⠀ “i will likely leave a trail behind me anyway, i would just rather not look like i walked right out of a horror movie,” she says after a moment of thought. “but i suppose you would have no idea what that’s like. even with your nature, you are perfect. you resemble a human, which makes it easy for you to get your victims where you want them. you have pristine skin, with no blemishes or scars. you are the perfect example of uncanny valley — there is nothing wrong with you, and the human brain may flag that because no one is that perfect, but they will ignore it for the sake that their brain cannot comprehend it.” it is almost as if she speaks from experience, from when she was just a girl living with her mother. “how fortunate. the question is, would you even help me?”

* he found himself just raising an eyebrow at her little outburst, no other response at all at the sight of the mangled flesh. Sure, it was a mess but he'd seen worse. Probably had done worse to people, if he was honest * And therein lies my point that the scars of betrayal still cut far deeper than the marks on your face. Passing as human isn't quite as glorious as you'd have it be. I'm not like Stefan. I never hid behind a human face if I didn't have to. Why should I? All of that * with his words, he gestured towards her * isn't something you should feel like you have to hide. Oh yes, you so desperately want to be like them, to be normal. But normal is boring. Normal doesn't leave a trail of death and destruction behind them. * he paused for a moment, as if contemplating the last part of her sentence * Fortunately for you, I happen to know of one or two.

@dangeroustendencies ⠀⠀ [it is then that she tears the fabric away from her face and faces him. the sight is gruesome, ungodly so. the skin around her teeth was not there, but instead replaced with freshly mauled flesh and gums. her teeth are practically razors, and her tongue resembles that of a snake — pointy and long. she is not vulnerable or upset in this moment, she is seething with anger.] would you live like THIS? you have retractable fangs, you can pass as a human. can i without this mask? no, i can’t. my mother wanted to curse a man who wronged her, but do you know who she marked instead? her own DAUGHTER. it backfired, and then instead of making it right, she couldn’t look at me. so i killed her, and now i have to fix her mess.. AGAIN. [she pauses after a moment to collect her thoughts before she grabs her mask to put it on once more.] i do not know where to find a bennett witch. do you?

I have no idea where you found that and I'm honestly too afraid to ask.

@fadedfragility ⠀⠀ [the woman stands still for a moment, her lips pursing as her claws scrape across the blade’s edge.] so you’re a logical one, then? i like it, more people should be like you.

Well, unlike some people, making rash decisions has never been something I've enjoyed. It's kept me out of trouble this long.
