lucas' body unconsciously flinched against ruelle's touch,  causing him to only bury his face even more against her shoulder and softly shook his head in response to her question〝  the bounty was a little more difficult to handle by myself than i thought . .  but i still managed to get the job done ＂ he tried to say in a positive tone despite the way his voice was wavering.  he could still hear all the loud noises from the bounty in his head,  causing the ranger to try and hide himself against the other.  the noises and his injuries alone seemed to bring up some unpleasant memories〝  ruelle . . . it's so loud- ＂ his voice began to sound shakier than before as his eyes started to well up with tears from feeling overwhelmed

@rangehunts      ✶      (ruelle had quite honestly frozen throughout the entire interaction.    she had never seen lucas so run down..   the most is a scar to his body or maybe his wing denying any movement,    to which she always fixed!     her eyes search everywhere,    she doesn't know what to do.    she looks at lucas' features...   how could this even get so far?)      i...     i do not..   i..       (she's hesitant━━━━   what should she do now?     internally,    she's panicking but she managed to check the condition of his wings and at least they flutter against her touch.)      wha..     what happened,    lucas?

his body seemed to be covered in wounds and his clothes were tattered,  most likely from the recent bounty he had finished.  the usual bright smile that was always on his face hadn't met his eyes this time as he leaned his weight against the other,  his legs feeling as if they were about to give out any second〝  i came back alive . . . so please don't be mad at me alright﹖ ＂
