          if you give your oc an illness, physical or mental, that you do not have or do not know anyone who has it, you have to be willing to do your research on it. some of the shit you need to know being: the illnesses you will probably have alongside it, the illnesses you won’t have, the side effects and behaviorisms, medication if your oc is on medicine for it, etc. let’s say your oc has— let’s say— schizophrenia and you don’t have it nor know anyone who does. you NEED to do research on it for at least 20 minutes before fully creating them and beginning to interact with others with them. this is shit that should be seen as required. you need to know what can cause it, if your oc isn’t born with it, and how they react to certain things because of it. AND YOU NEED TO BE RESPECTFUL ABOUT IT!!! there are people on this app who have these things and it, depending on the person, can negatively affect them. so uh yeah, do your research and don’t be a dick <3
