I'm fine." he wasn't , but it wasn't like he was going to admit that. survival 101: don't give out your weaknesses. it probably wasn't very helpful if your weakness was pretty easy to see though. he was pale — which was a feat , considering he's dead , his eyes were pin pricks , and his skin was clammy.

@OMNI1M4N the others presence offered a brief respite. while intimidating on most days , nolan was comforting today. something he recognized in a wave of unknowns. there were so many smells , so many sounds — it was nice to have someone to focus his senses on. "why / are / we here .. ?" his face pinched into a frown. is this why they told you not to follow strangers? because they brought you to loud and overstimulating places?

* he notices the grip immediately, gaze flicking down to the small hand on his sleeve before shifting back to the crowd, expression tightening just slightly as he takes in the noise around them. * i know, * he says quietly, voice lower than usual. a brief pause, then he adjusts his stance just enough to block some of the movement and bodies passing by, creating a small pocket of space. * stay close, * he adds, gentler now, not looking down at him but staying aware. * we won’t be here long.

@OMNI1M4N aki frowned , not fighting the other on this. he gripped on to the man's sleeve , grip tight as he looked around. there were so many people .. too many. aki didn't usually venture this far into town — it was overwhelming. " .. loud." he voiced softly , barely able to be heard.
